Biography

Sir Henry Bergne (1842–1908; Oxford DNB); diplomatist. Wrote on diplomatic topics for periodicals including the Quarterly Review, Blackwood's Magazine and The Spectator. Became a member of the Society of Authors in 1890, and served on the Committee of Management and Copyright Sub-Committee after retiring from the Foreign Office.
