Sidney James Webb, Baron Passfield (1859–1947; Oxford DNB); social reformer and politician. Wrote tracts for the Fabian Society; published further works on socialism. Responsible for drafting the report of the Special Committee established to evaluate the structure and composition of the Committee of Management.
