Sir Theodore Martin (1816–1909; Oxford DNB); lawyer and biographer. Published poetry, translations and biographies; best known for his Life of the Prince Consort (1874-80), commissioned by Queen Victoria. Appointed a Vice-President of the Society of Authors.
