Biography

Eliza Lynn Linton (1822–1898; Oxford DNB); writer. The first woman journalist in England to draw a fixed salary, joining the staff of the Morning Chronicle in 1848; later wrote for the Saturday Review. Published several novels and wrote for periodicals including Household Words.
