Richard Claude Critchett (1856–1928; Oxford DNB); actor and playwright (as Claude Carton or R. C. Carton). Collaborated with Cecil Raleigh in the 1880s, and began to write plays alone in the 1890s. Also collaborated with Justin Huntly McCarthy.
